About louiseBiog Louise Kemp (-aka 'The Fox') Resident DJ for the Noice! show on Proton Radio Louise Kemp is hard working and naturally talented, she has a great ear for music, probably due to being around it all her life. Louise’s father is a classical pianist, a music teacher…and also spent most of her childhood gigging as a bassist and singer in various Rhythm & blues bands. This meant Louise was always around musicians and sitting in on the next 'jam' session, which she loved, these are still some of her happiest memories today and had a tremendous influence on her as she grew up... As time went on Louise developed a taste for Funk, Soul and HipHop, her first vinyls were by artists like Grandmaster Flash, De La Soul, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan... Her brother (6,9hz), also a producer, later introduced her to artists such as Venetian Snares, Aphex Twin, Masters at Work, Portishead and many more, further widening her musical horizons. In 2003 Louise got involved with performance and promotion in the dance music scene when she and 3 close friends started running Breaks/House gigs in the East of England. The most successful of which, 'Networking Central 2005', drew a crowd of 1200+. This is where she first dared to take to the decks at an after party, and the rest is history... Within months of her first gig back in 2005 Louise became a recognised face on the DJ circuit and has gone from strength to strength, appearing in venues from Egg (London), to Eden (Ibiza) over the last 3yrs. She has now played alongside names such as: Kaiserdisco (MBF) Oliver Hacke (Trapez-Traum) Margaret Dygas(non.standard.productions)Cut la Roc (Rocstar)King Roc(Love Minus Zero/Mutual Society) General Midi (Distinctive)Soul Of Man (Fingerlickin) Jnr J (Kinky Vinyl) The AutoBots (Broke / BrockOut / Botchit / TCR / Supercharged) Superstyle Deluxe (Supercharged/The Payback Project)Si McEvoy (Spinout Records) The Hoxton Whores (Whorehouse Recordings/Stereo Scum Records) Sophie Oliver (Kilometer Recordings/Retox) Mistress De Funk (Sankeys/Tribal Sessions) Kate Lawler(Sankeys) etc.. Louise's influences in music are varied and her style is diverse but she favours Techno. Mixes; Proton Radio –Mixology Forum Proton Radio -Noice! In my opinion she is the best to emerge out of the UK since Lottie!" -Harry Avers ('NOICE!' www.protonradio.com [http://www.protonradio.com/show.php?showid=365] show Host/DJ mag music journalist) "Louise's Feb 09 promo mix displays a veterans understanding of the floor, with upfront electronic sounds that don't sacrifice the groove for the sake of being cool, forward thinking music on show with both eyes firmly on the crowd, nice work" -Leigh Morgan (Label/A&R Manager – www.urbantorque.com ) "NOICE!" "Rockin Mix" - (proton 08 -House mix) –Sacha Robotti (www.berlin-kreuzberg-institut.com [http://www.berlin-kreuzberg-institut.com] Proton Radio Show Host/BKI/Robosonic) "Once again Louise Kemp has demonstrated a natural born aptitude for the collation and fusion of tracks, in a style that is at once both effortless and intricate." - Alex Nagshineh(PISO - www.myspace.com/alexnagshineh [http://www.myspace.com/alexnagshineh]) Interview Quote; (from - 'AUDIO' LAUNCH PARTY -FEAT. KING ROC & JNR. J -article): "Right guys.... You have been selected for 'Audio'.... each of you has been chosen because of your single-handed determination and wisdom in pushing forth the future sound of House music and representing the varying genres within the field… You have all done very well from DJ'ing in the scene, although none of you (yet) are globetrotting £5000 a set DJ's, most would say that you are key figures in the London House scene. London is often seen by the rest of the world as the hub of club / house music culture, are you happy with what you have achieved and what else is there to strive for yourselves?" The Fox: "I'm overwhelmed to be accepted into the London scene like I have been recently and it's absolutely wicked. I spend most of my time in awe of the talent I come across and feeling pretty humble. There is always more to achieve though, yeah! I love being able to play my stuff to a crowd and I just want to keep improving. I'd love to produce too and intend to start hounding my bro to work on something with me as soon as I get some spare time."
